BLOOMFIELD HILLS, Mich., June 3, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- TriMas Corporation (NASDAQ: TRS) — a diversified manufacturer of engineered and applied products — today announced that Rajan Sachar joined TriMas as its vice president of corporate audit. He will report to David Wathen, president and chief executive officer of TriMas, and Richard Gabrys, Board of Directors audit committee chairman.
In this role, Rajan is responsible for ensuring compliance and internal controls management, while also providing leadership across the organization in compliance, controls, training and enterprise risk management. Leading the audit organization, Rajan will focus on areas of risk management and business efficiency.

"His solid experience and proven track record will play a key role in continued risk management and corporate governance at TriMas."
Before joining TriMas, Rajan was employed at Federal Signal Corporation, where he held the positions of group vice president of finance, and vice president of global internal audit and enterprise risk management. He has also worked for CME Group and Motorola in global finance roles.
He received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Jammu in India, an MBA from the University of Chicago and a Master of Arts degree in Accounting from the University of Iowa. Rajan has several professional certifications, which include Certified Public Accountant, Certified Fraud Examiner, Certified Internal Auditor and Chartered Accountant in India.
